Bruckner Chase is a marathon swimmer currently living in Ocean City, NJ and formerly of Santa Cruz, CA. He is an experience endurance athlete with a career dating back to the early 1980’s, which includes Ironman distance triathlons, ultra distance runs and long distance ocean events.
In addition to being an athlete, he is an ocean lifeguard instructor and professional member of the United States Lifeguard Association. As an ocean advocate and athlete Bruckner’s focus is now on the waters and their ecosystems, and he is committed to changing how people feel and think about the waters around us.
Through marathon swims around the world Bruckner’s goals are three fold:
1. To raise awareness of the need to discover a sustainable life on land that preserves and protects the oceans.
2. To test himself in the waters of the world, and discover the indestructible core that exists in us all.
3. To encourage others to discover what they love and let the pursuit of that passion enrich both their lives and the lives of those around them.
